چکیده
Cytokeratin positive cells are frequently found in the blood (BL) and bone marrow (BM) of patients with epithelial cancers attributed to metastasis. We document here reproducible presence (ECs) normal human murine BL BM. used four different methods: immunofluorescence microscopy (IF), Krt1-14;mTmG transgenic mice, rtPCR, flow cytometry. To this end, we have made several novel interesting findings. First, discovered rare but pan-cytokeratin+ size small lymphocytes smears cytospins untreated Second, that Epithelial Cell Adhesion Molecule (EpCAM+) constituted 0.18% ± 0.0004 (SEM; n=7 biological replicates, 4 experimental replicates), for BM, 3.53%±0.006 n=3 b.r., e.r.) mononuclear cells. In EpCAM+ constitute 0.45% 0.0006 n=2 5.17%± 0.001 e.r.). virtually all were immunoreactive pan-cytokeratin as determined by IF microscopy. Third, using low (8.6 native GFP+ per 106 analyzed (0.085% viable cells), significant numbers (p<0.0005) BM not result randomness. Fourth, rtPCR detected traces cytokeratins 14 15 mouse Further, cytometric analyses disclosed heterogeneity within population when compared CD45 (0.58% BM; 0.13% BL) CD44 (0.13%) lineage markers. conclude from these observations expressing cytokeratin proteins mRNAs reproducibly detectable among These set stage determining functions most curious

Hemozoin Enhances Maturation of Murine Bone Marrow Derived Macrophages and Myeloid Dendritic Cells
Background: Falciparum malaria is a severe health burden worldwide. Antigen presenting cells are reported to be affected by erythrocytic stage of the parasite. Malarial hemozoin (HZ), a metabolite of malaria parasite, has adjuvant properties and may play a role in the induction of immune response against the parasite. Objective: To determine the immunological impact of hemozoin on the capacity ...
متن کاملMild hypoxia and human bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells synergistically enhance expansion and homing capacity of human cord blood CD34+ stem cells
Objective(s): Cord blood (CB) is known as a valuable source of hematopoietic stem cells (HSC). Identifying strategies that enhance expansion and maintain engraftment and homing capacity of HSCs can improve transplant efficiency. In this study, we examined different culture conditions on ex vivo expansion and homing capacity of CB-HSCs. Materials and Methods: In this study, 4-5 different units o...
متن کاملExpression of cytochrome P450 and glutathione S-transferase in human bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells
Currently several studies are being carried out on various properties of mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs)however there are a few investigations about drug metabolizing properties of these cells. The aim of thisstudy was to measure the key factors involved in drug metabolism in human bone marrow MSCs. For thispurpose, cellular glutathione (GSH), glutathione Stransferase (GSTs) and...
متن کاملEXPANSION OF HUMAN CORD BLOOD PRIMITIVE PROGENITORS IN SERUM-FREE MEDIA USING HUMAN BONE MARROW MESENCHYMAL STEM CELLS
Ex vivo expansion of human umbilical cord blood cells (HUCBC) is explored by several investigators to enhance the repopulating potential of HUCBC. The proliferation and expansion of human hematopoietic stem cells (HSC) in ex vivo culture was examined with the goal of generating a suitable clinical protocol for expanding HSC for patient transplantation. Using primary human mesenchymal stem ...
متن کاملBone marrow stromal cells and their application in neural injuries
Background: This article reviews experimental and clinical studies in which neural injuries repaired with bone marrow stromal cells. History: Bone marrow contains two kinds of stem cells: hematopoietic and nonhematopoietic (stromal) stem cell. In vitro studies indicate that bone marrow stromal cells have the capacity of differentiation into other cells (such as neural cell) under treatment wit...
